Two Arrested for the Murder of a Female Bank Employee Who Declined a Marriage Proposal in Tezpur
A female bank employee was tragically murdered in Tezpur after she rejected a marriage proposal.
Reportedly, the victim is identified as Manisha Boro. She was discovered deceased in her rented home in Thelamara Boragaon. Reports state that the prime suspect, Debashish Kar, also a bank employee, was apprehended in the Srirampur area of Kokrajhar district on April 13 after fleeing the crime scene.
The authorities also arrested Richard Doley, an employee of the same bank, in connection with the incident. While Richard Doley was sent to the Central Jail in Tezpur on April 16, Debashish Kar was, on the other hand, presented before the Tezpur court on Tuesday.
According to sources, Manisha Boro was murdered because she rejected Debashish’s marriage proposal. This shocking incident has sent shockwaves through the community and highlights the need for greater protection for women.
