The much-anticipated film “Satyaprem Ki Katha” starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani got off to a promising start, raking in an impressive Rs 9.25 crore on its opening day. However, on the second day, the film experienced a slight dip of 22 percent, earning approximately Rs 7.19 crore. The cumulative two-day collection stands at a commendable Rs 17 crore.
Despite the Friday slump, industry insiders are optimistic about the film’s future prospects. Positive word-of-mouth and favorable reviews from film critics are expected to boost ticket sales, with experts predicting that “Satyaprem Ki Katha” will cross the Rs 20 crore mark on its third day.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh foresees a strong hold for the film, citing the encouraging advance booking trends among families. Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani took to social media to express their gratitude to the audience for their overwhelming support.
Directed by a talented ensemble, including Supriya Pathak, Gajraj Rao, Siddharth Randheria, Anooradha Patel, Rajpal Yadav, Nirrmite Saawaant, and Shikha Talsania, “Satyaprem Ki Katha” aims to continue the success streak of its lead actors, who were previously part of the blockbuster “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2,” amassing a staggering Rs 185 crore at the domestic box office last year.
